Valentine's Day

As Valentine’s Day approaches, people start stressing over the perfect gift or what to do for their significant other in order to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Should they get chocolates or flowers? Should they go out to dinner or cook a romantic meal?
Valentine’s Day can be done simply and elegantly by buying chocolates and taking your special someone out for a nice dinner.
Flowers are a good gift for special occasions, but when it comes to buying for Valentine’s Day stick to chocolates. Rachel Kamada, a freshmen at the University of Denver, believes chocolates are a great gift for Valentine’s Day.
“You can’t give chocolates on any other holiday,” says Kamada. “Giving chocolates is the more thoughtful gift for Valentine’s Day.”
See’s Candies is a great choice for chocolates. They have a great assortment of truffles and heart-shaped packages to give to your special someone.
However, do not stop at giving just chocolates, planning to take your special someone out for a nice dinner would perfect for your Valentine’s Day celebration. Vanessa Nguyen, a freshmen at the University of Denver, prefers being taken out to dinner instead of being cooked for on Valentine’s Day.
“It’s impressive when my significant other takes the time to choose a romantic restaurant and plans a memorable evening for me,” says Nguyen.
A local Denver spot to take your special someone for a memorable dinner is D Bar Desserts. They have amazing entrees and even more spectacular desserts that are made famous chef Keegan Gerhard.
Make your Valentine’s Day extra special this year by taking your special someone out to a romantic dinner and giving the delicious gift of chocolates.
“If I had D Bar Desserts and got See’s Candies, I believe that would be the best Valentine’s Day ever,” says Nguyen.
